What we believe
New Life Community Church in Inwood, WV is a non-denominational Christian church built on the authority of Scripture and salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Our core beliefs in eight statements
- The Bible
- Scripture is God's written word, inspired and without error in its original writings, and it is our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
- God
- There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who created all things and holds them together.
- Jesus Christ
- Jesus is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died in our place, rose bodily from the grave and is returning.
- Salvation
- Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It cannot be earned by good works or church attendance.
- The Holy Spirit
- The Spirit convicts, indwells and empowers believers, producing character and gifting the church for its mission.
- The Church
- The church is the family of God, gathered for worship and teaching and scattered for service. Baptism and communion are its ordinances.
- Every person
- Every person is made in the image of God with dignity and worth, and every person needs the grace of Jesus Christ.
- Eternity
- Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead. Those who trust him receive eternal life with God.
